Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2025

At AdTechToolkit, your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your data.

What to know at a glance

  • Most tools run fully in your browser; pasted data is not uploaded.
  • Some tools make server-side fetches you initiate (e.g., VAST/redirect/RSS).
  • Ads are disabled unless explicitly enabled; AdSense will use cookies when on.
  • You can request account deletion or opt out of personalized ads.

1. Information We Collect

The tools on this site are designed to run entirely in your browser. By default, we do not collect or store the data you paste into tools such as JSON Beautifier, JSON Diff, or VAST Inspector.

If you create an account or sign in, we may store limited information associated with your profile, such as:

  • Email address
  • Sign-in timestamps (e.g., when you first joined, when you last logged in)
  • Authentication-related data required by Firebase Auth

This information is used to provide account features, maintain security, and understand general usage patterns of the site.

2. Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to:

  • Remember your theme preferences (light / dark mode)
  • Support authentication and keep you signed in
  • Improve site performance and reliability
  • Enable advertising personalization and measurement when ads are turned on (Google AdSense)

3. Advertising and Google AdSense

AdTechToolkit uses Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. This may include non-personally identifiable information such as your browser type, approximate location, and visit behavior.

You can manage ad personalization or opt out through Google's Ad Settings: https://adssettings.google.com. For more details, review Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Current ad status: Ads are disabled by default. When enabled, we will load the official Google AdSense script and only show ad slots if a response is returned by Google. No filler or fake ads are used.

4. Analytics

We may use privacy-focused analytics (for example, Vercel Analytics) to monitor overall site performance, error rates, and aggregated usage patterns. These analytics are used to improve the site and do not intentionally collect personally identifiable information such as your name or email address.

4.5. Client-Side vs. Server-Side Processing

Most tools (e.g., JSON Beautifier, JSON Diff, XML Beautifier, Find & Replace, MP4 → HLS) run entirely in your browser; your pasted text, files, or media are not uploaded to our servers. Some tools must fetch remote URLs you provide (e.g., VAST Inspector, URL Redirect Resolver, RSS news ticker). For those, our server makes the request you initiate, and we do not store the fetched content beyond what is needed to respond to your request.

5. Data Retention

We retain account-related information for as long as your account is active or as needed to operate the service. You may request account deletion through the account page; deleting your account removes associated user records from our primary systems, subject to any legal obligations to retain certain data.

6. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws (such as GDPR or CCPA) including:

  • Accessing the personal data we hold about you
  • Requesting correction or deletion of your data
  • Objecting to or restricting certain processing
  • Withdrawing consent where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, you can contact us using the email provided on the Contact page.

7. Children's Privacy

AdTechToolkit is intended for use by adults and professionals working in digital advertising and software development. It is not directed toward children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or other factors. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

9. Contact

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us via the email listed on the Contact page.
